Moving In

We're finally semi moved into our new home. All of our furniture is in place and about half of the boxes. The rest of the boxes are still in storage. My husband and youngest son have been bringing the boxes from storage a little at a time so that I'm not totally overwhelmed and wondering where to begin. It all ready feels like home! The peace and quiet, the birds, the butterflies, the neighbors cattle, and oh my...the gorgeous flowers. I love it here! I'll post pics soon....just haven't had time to take many pics. Hope everyone is well. I have really missed visiting all of the wonderful blogs I have come to love. Not to mention all of the wonderful people that have created them! More to come soon!

Our House Hunting Trip

Our house hunting trip was a success! We found a cute little 3 bedroom house on 7.5 gorgeous acres with 2 creeks on the property! I'm so excited about moving and living near family again! Most of all, being near my mother! We haven't lived in the same state since I left home almost 29 years ago.
If all goes well, we'll be moved into the new home by the end of June. Right now I'm up to my eyeballs in boxes! Packing is so much work! Can't wait to get moved and start decorating and gardening in our new place.

I've Been Tagged~7 Weird Things

I've been tagged by Ele at A Bit of Pink Heaven

Here are the rules…. each player starts with 7 random weird facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog!

Ok, I had to think really hard and ask people what was weird about me. This was not an easy task but it was fun!

1. I am insistant about not having covers on my feet when I sleep. My husband will cover them and even while sleeping I will immediately kick the covers off my feet. Even in the winter!

2. I am a Law & Order fanatic! I can watch the re-runs over and over! I especially like Law & Order SVU!

3. I love teenagers and old people! I find both to be enlightening and enjoyable! My children are grown and my grandparents are long gone, so I take delight in spending time with the teens and seniors I meet outside of my family. Troubled teens have always been wonderful to interact with, even when my children were younger.

4. I love crafting and start many craft projects but don't seem to get many of them finished. I have a teddy bear that is half done, a quilt that is half done, a crocheted afgan that is 3/4 done....you get the idea.

5. One of my sons says that it is weird that I can drink coffee at any hour of the day and it doesn't keep me awake.

6. I love my daughter-in-law. I always here people talking about in-law troubles. In my family all the in-laws seem to get along great! My mom has always loved my husband and my husband thinks the world of her. Even my oldest son likes his in-laws and they like him. So I guess that's weird not having the animosity between families.

7. I can't stand open cupboards! It just drives me nuts to walk into the kitchen and find a cupboard left open. I just have to close it and it doesn't make any difference to me whose house I'm in.

Thank you Ele for tagging me. It really was a lot more fun than I thought.

Everything is Coming Up Roses!

I love roses! ...but who doesn't? I'm going to miss my roses when I move. I'll have to plant many at our new home. The yellow roses in my front yard have got to be the most fragrant roses I've ever smelled and they are right by my front door. I'll post more pictures of my roses when they are in full bloom.

Envy

I've been looking around at all the beautiful decorations posted in others blogs and I'm envious! I'm in the process of packing up my home to move accross country in June, so instead of decorating, I'm UNdecorating. I'll be making a trip the 2nd week of May to buy a house. I can't wait! I've exausted my house hunting search online and am at the point where I need to see these places in person. It's so exciting, knowing I'll have a new home to decorate. In the meantime I guess I'll just have to enjoy the crafts and finds of all the talented women bloggers. You all definately inspire me!
